About AW Mini Ranch
Our Story
What started as raw land became a place built on hard work, care, and purpose—and a place our family always loved coming back to.
In 2019, we lost my mother, which marked a difficult chapter for our family. The following year, we retired and returned home to Texas from Nevada, giving us the opportunity to be closer to my dad and reconnect with the ranch that has always meant so much to us.
Being back here didn’t just feel like coming home—it became a shared passion. Today, we work alongside my dad, caring for our cattle, continuing to improve the land, and expanding the ranch with chickens, ducks, and guineas. We’re also proud to once again be raising Texas Blue Lacys, carrying on something my parents started years ago.
In 2023, we partnered with my sister to purchase our first Aberdeen cattle. After researching Lowline (Aberdeen) cattle, we knew they were the right fit for our land and our goal of building a sustainable, hands-on ranch—one where we can stay closely involved and raise quality beef the right way.

WHY WE CHOSE ABERDEEN
After researching different options, we chose Aberdeen (Lowline) cattle because they’re a natural fit for our ranch and the way we want to raise beef.
- Smaller size, ideal for our 28 acres
- Calm temperament and easy handling
- Strong maternal instincts
- Known for consistent, high-quality beef
Their size and disposition allow us to stay more hands-on and avoid overcrowding, which means less stress on the animals and better care overall.
For us, it’s not about raising more cattle—it’s about raising them the right way.
Ready to Fill Your Freezer?
We offer locally raised Aberdeen beef directly from our ranch—raised with care, handled the right way, and never rushed.
If you’re looking for beef you can trust and feel good about feeding your family, we’d love to work with you.
